Refunds and cancellation

This page explains when and how you can cancel a paid Ultron plan, what refunds are available, how the EU right of withdrawal interacts with a digital service, and what is and is not refundable. It applies to direct subscriptions purchased from us. Subscriptions purchased through a reseller or a marketplace are governed by that channel's own terms.

Overview

Ultron is a subscription service. You pay for a billing period in advance and get access for that period. Cancellation stops the next renewal but does not retroactively refund the period you have already used. Specific situations create a right to a refund, and those are listed below.

Cancellation

You can cancel any paid plan from the billing settings inside the product. Cancellation is effective immediately as a stop on the auto-renewal; the account keeps the paid plan until the end of the current period and then drops to the free tier or to a deleted state if you also requested deletion.

You do not need to give a reason. Customer support is not in the way of cancellation; you do not need to write to anyone to stop the renewal.

EU right of withdrawal

European consumers have a fourteen-day right of withdrawal on distance contracts under EU consumer law. For digital services that start immediately, the right can be waived if the consumer gives express consent to the immediate start and acknowledges that the right will be lost once performance begins.

When you sign up for a paid plan and start using the service inside the fourteen-day window, you give that express consent through the checkout flow. If you have not yet used the service at all, you can still exercise the right of withdrawal within fourteen days of purchase by writing to billing@51ultron.com; we will refund the full amount paid within fourteen days of receiving the request.

Note
The waiver applies only to the right of withdrawal under EU consumer law. It does not remove your other consumer rights, including rights you keep if the service is materially defective.

Prorated refunds

Annual plans receive a prorated refund of unused months in three situations:

  • We make a material reduction in the functionality of the plan you bought during the paid term, and you cancel within thirty days of the announcement.
  • We are unable to resolve a sustained service failure that materially affects your usage, defined as the platform being unavailable for more than three consecutive business days through no fault of yours.
  • We add a subprocessor that processes Customer Personal Data, you object on reasonable data protection grounds within the notice window, and we cannot resolve the objection.

In each case, the refund is calculated on the unused portion of the prepaid term, rounded up to the next full month, and issued to the original payment method.

What is non-refundable

The following are not eligible for a refund:

  • Monthly subscriptions that have already started. Cancelling stops the next month.
  • Usage-based charges already accrued for the current cycle. We do not refund tokens, sandbox minutes, or actor runs you have already consumed.
  • Promotional credits, trial credits, or referral bonuses.
  • Plans terminated for cause under the Terms of Service or the AUP.
  • Taxes already remitted to the relevant authority. We will help you recover VAT through the appropriate channel if you are entitled.

Downgrades and upgrades

Downgrade

A downgrade takes effect at the end of the current paid period. We do not refund the difference between the higher and lower plan for the period already paid; you keep the higher plan until the period ends.

Upgrade

An upgrade is prorated. You pay the difference between the current plan and the new plan for the remainder of the current period, then the new plan price at the next renewal.

Disputed charges

If you believe a charge is wrong, write to billing@51ultron.com within sixty days of the charge date. We respond within ten business days with the underlying records and either confirm the charge, issue a refund, or propose a credit. We prefer to resolve disputes directly before they escalate to a chargeback; opening a chargeback without contacting us first may make the dispute slower and more expensive for everyone.

How to request

For cancellation, use the billing settings inside the product. For a refund request that falls into one of the eligible cases above, write to billing@51ultron.com with the invoice number, the date of the charge, and a brief description of the situation. We typically respond within two business days and complete approved refunds within fourteen days.

Timing

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Most cards see the refund within five to ten business days after we issue it; the exact timing depends on the issuing bank. Bank transfers may take longer. We will give you a refund reference you can quote with your bank if there is a delay.
