Skills are the fastest way to make Ultron dramatically better at one specific job, and these are the ones actually worth installing.
Everyone is posting "50 skills you need" lists right now, so I actually went and checked them. A bunch were real, a few were straight up made up. This is the curated, verified shortlist of the ones genuinely worth installing, grouped by what you want to do, with the safe install link for each.
First things first, in case you are new to this: a skill is just a little instruction file (a SKILL.md) that teaches Ultron one specific job really well. Think of it like a plugin or a saved playbook. Once you install one, Ultron knows how to do that thing on command instead of you re-explaining it every time. They are free, and most of them are beginner friendly, no code required.
Quick honesty note before we start: most of these are made by the community, not by the official team. That is a good thing (the best ones come from people solving real problems), but a community skill is real code that runs on your machine, so the rule is simple: only install ones you can read and trust. I will flag the two official ones below as the safest place to start.
How to install any skill
There are two ways, and both take about 30 seconds. Pick whichever feels easier.
The easy path (paste the repo link): open a new chat in Ultron, paste the line below, and swap in the GitHub link of the skill you want. Ultron reads the repo and sets it up for you.
The upload path (download the file): go to the skill's GitHub repo, download the file called SKILL.md, then in Ultron go to Skills, choose Upload, and drag the file in. If you would rather just tell Ultron, paste this:
That is the whole process. Every skill below has its real GitHub link, so you can grab any of them the same way.
For writing and content

-
Beautiful Prose gives you sharper, cleaner writing with strong verbs and no filler. It even bans em dashes, which makes it my kind of skill. Repo: shadowpr0/beautiful_prose
Install one, run it on your next caption or email, and you will feel the difference immediately.
For design and visuals
-
frontend-design forces Ultron to make bold, modern UI choices instead of generic AI layouts. One of the two official skills.
-
Algorithmic Art generates real procedural artwork (flow fields, particles, seeded patterns). Also an official skill.
-
Canvas Design designs posters, graphics, and visuals with an actual design philosophy, not random shapes. Find it in the community skills collection.
Start here if you are new: frontend-design and Algorithmic Art are official skills, which makes them the safest two skills on this entire list. Install one of these first to see how skills work before you reach for the community ones.

Feed these your messy inputs and get clean, usable outputs back.
For builders and power users
A little more advanced, but worth it once you are comfortable.
-
Superpowers makes Ultron plan, test, build, and review like a senior engineer instead of guessing its way through. Repo: obra/superpowers
-
Repomix squeezes a whole codebase into a single file Ultron can actually read in one go. Repo: yamadashy/repomix
-
Skill Seekers turns any docs site or repo into a brand new skill automatically. It is a skill that makes skills. Repo: yusufkaraaslan/Skill_Seekers
One safety rule for everything here
Community skills are other people's code running on your machine. Before you install any of the community ones, open the repo and skim the SKILL.md so you know what it does. If something looks off, skip it. Being the honest one about this is the whole point: install only what you can read and trust, and start with the two official skills while you get the hang of it.
Run this on autopilot.
Everything in this guide becomes an agent inside Ultron: set it up once, keep it running. You review, it executes.
